Power outage updates

These updates were found on the Lansing State Journal's page:

UPDATE: From Lansing Board of Water & Light, please share.
As of 9 p.m. Monday, Dec. 23, outages have gone down during the day from 30,000 to 19,000 customers without power in the Lansing Board of Water & Light service territory. Additional customers are expected to be restored throughout the night.

Hundreds of downed power lines remain to be repaired. Residents are urged to stay 25 feet away from downed wires. Downed power lines are being prioritized for repair based on public health and safety facilities and circuits with the highest number of customers without power. BWL and other municipal utility crews will continue to work around the clock until all customer power has been restored.

The BWL anticipates that a substantial portion of its customers will have power restored by the end of Christmas Day, Wednesday, Dec. 25. However, we must advise caution on this projection because ice-covered tree limbs and high winds and snow forecasted for Wednesday could hamper and/or reverse power restoration efforts.

The Board of Water & Light is aware of its outage areas. Residents can report a down power line by sending an email to custservice@lbwl.com, or by calling (517) 702-6006 or toll free at 877-295-5001. Residents may also post a downed line message on the BWL’s Facebook page or on SeeClickFlix. Please note that due to high call volumes, you may experience a busy signal and/or long wait times.

Latest from Consumers Energy:
About 16,100 customers in Ingham and 16,100 customers in Eaton, 9,204 in Clinton counties without power. That's an increase from earlier today in Ingham. Consumers expects to have updated information on restoration date tomorrow. The Saturday restoration date is a worst-case scenario.
